A complete online shop including a UK domain name and the
first 12 months hosting from just £199.
You could give your customers the choice to pay via
credit/debit card, cash or cheque and if you use a system like PayPal to
process the credit cards, or you already have a PDQ machine, then there is
no other set-up charges.
We do all the work for you - just let us have the
information and products you want displayed and we will do the rest. Each
site is designed just for you, only after you are happy with the design
are you invoiced.
We now can provide two different shopping cart
scripts for online shops of all types that can be customised and set-up
for you. We use PHP and mySQL because it is faster than cgi and easier to
customise to your preferences.

GoodShop Silver - A PHP script that allows for
complete customised product pages, also able to offer different
payment options to the customer. Ideal for small shops where products
are different or need to be displayed differently. It does not need
a product database.

GoodShop SilverPlus - Using the same script as
the GoodShop Silver but with the addition of a database program
for your categories and products. This allows you to add and modify
your products yourself from an online admin area.

- GoodShop Gold - A very powerful PHP shopping cart
script with lots of features including customer accounts, order

This is based on a free community developed shopping cart programs
called oscommerce and zen cart. It is well developed but because of it's complexity
it does take longer to modify/customise to your particular needs
than the other scripts that we use.

Payment methods
There are 2 main methods of collecting payment from your
customers:
- Credit/Debit Card - using this method customers can
complete the order and make payment immediately. There are basically two
ways to receive payment this way:
- Off-line - if you already have a PDQ machine
customers can enter their credit/debit card details securely using our
secure server. For security reasons you will receive part of these
details in an email and will have to log-on to your control panel to
access the other part.
- On-line through a payment processing company like PayPal
or WorldPay
- PayPal - PayPal is now a considerably improved
method of payment processing for businesses. With a PayPal business
account you can take instant payment in Pound Sterling from
customers with or without a PayPal account.
It is free to
open a business account with PayPal and costs just 3.4% of
transaction value plus 20p for each transaction. When you want to
withdraw funds to your Bank Account it is free if withdrawing £50 or
over and under £50 just costs 25p.

- WorldPay - WorldPay is a well known and trusted
online payment processing company. If you do not have a merchant
account you can apply for WorldDirect that gives you a merchant
account and payment processing in one. Using WorldAccess you can
also take payments by phone, by fax, or through the post.
If
you expect to have a high turnover, take payments through other
methods as well as online and/or sell high cost products we recomend
using WorldPay for your payment processing.

Cheque / Postal Order - not all
customers are happy paying via credit/debit card online so it is good to
offer another option as well. All our shopping cart scripts allow
payment by cheque / postal order to be an option. After placing an order
using this option the customer will receive a message stating that no
products will be dispatched until payment is
received.
